Our Natural Ingredients
Our chosen ingredients for sensitive, reactive skin
Our formulas are built around natural, plant-derived ingredients that help hydrate dry skin, support the skin barrier, calm visible irritation, and promote healing for sensitive and eczema-prone skin.[1,2,3] We are also committed to natural preservatives and fragrance-free formulas to keep reactivity at a minimum. Our formulas contain 94–100% naturally derived ingredients, calculated using the COSMOS method for natural origin
Key
🍃 Natural
✅ Naturally derived
🟢 Nature-identical
Aloe Vera 🍃
Aloe vera is known for its cooling, soothing feel on dry or irritated skin. It helps add lightweight hydration and can support skin that feels stressed, tight, or uncomfortable.[4,5]
Shea Butter 🍃
Shea butter is a rich plant butter that helps soften skin and reduce moisture loss. For very dry or eczema-prone skin, it adds cushioning comfort and helps skin feel more protected from dryness and the elements.[19]
Rice Bran Oil 🍃
Rice bran oil is a nourishing plant oil rich in fatty acids and antioxidants. It helps soften and moisturize the skin while supporting a smoother, more comfortable skin barrier.[20]
Colloidal Oatmeal 🍃
Colloidal oatmeal is one of the best-known ingredients for eczema-prone skin. It helps soothe itch, support the skin barrier, and calm skin that feels dry, irritated, or overreactive.[1,3,9]
Vegetable Glycerin ✅
Glycerin is a humectant, which means it helps pull water into the skin. For sensitive or eczema-prone skin, that extra hydration can help reduce that dry, tight feeling and leave skin softer and more comfortable.[6]
Panthenol (Vitamin B5) 🟢
Panthenol helps the skin hold onto moisture and is widely used as a skin-conditioning humectant. It is especially helpful in formulas for dry, sensitive skin because it supports softness and comfort.[7]
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) 🟢
Niacinamide helps support the skin barrier and improve the look of uneven tone and visible redness. For many people with sensitive skin, a stronger barrier means skin feels calmer and less reactive over time.[2,8]
Kaolin Clay 🍃
Kaolin clay is a gentle clay that helps absorb excess oil and impurities without being as aggressive as stronger clays. That makes it a better fit for sensitive skin that still wants a cleaner, smoother feel without being stripped.[11,12]
Allantoin 🟢
Allantoin is known for its soothing, skin-protective feel. It is commonly used in products for dry, rough, or easily irritated skin because it helps skin feel calmer, smoother, and more comfortable.[16]
Gluconolactone (and) Sodium Benzoate (Natural Preservatives) ✅
This is a naturally derived preservative system that helps keep a formula fresh and safe to use. In sensitive-skin products, these preservatives help protect the product self-life without relying on harsh, formaldehyde-releasing preservatives.[13]
Sodium Phytate ✅
Sodium phytate is a plant-derived chelating ingredient that helps keep formulas stable and fresh by binding trace metals that can degrade a product. That support helps sensitive-skin formulas stay more consistent over time.[14,15]
Cetearyl Olivate (and) Sorbitan Olivate ✅
Cetearyl Olivate and Sorbitan Olivate are olive-derived emulsifiers that help blend water and oils into a soft, creamy texture. Because it is designed to feel elegant and skin-friendly, it works especially well in moisturizers made for dry or sensitive skin.[17,18]
Cetyl Alcohol ✅
Cetyl alcohol is a fatty alcohol, not a drying alcohol. It helps make creams feel richer and softer, and it supports moisture retention by giving the skin a smoother, more protective feel.[21]
Stearic Acid ✅
Stearic acid is a fatty acid that helps give creams a rich, creamy texture and a more protective skin feel. In moisturizers for dry or reactive skin, that can help support softness and reduce the feeling of roughness.[22,23]
Citric Acid ✅
Citric acid is used in small amounts to help keep a formula at a skin-friendly pH. For sensitive skin, pH matters because well-balanced formulas are often more comfortable and more compatible with the skin barrier.[24]
Xanthan Gum ✅
Xanthan gum is a plant-derived ingredient that gives skincare a smooth, cushiony texture. While it is not an active treatment ingredient, it helps create formulas that spread gently and evenly on sensitive skin.[10]
Why These Ingredients Matter
Sensitive and eczema-prone skin often does best with formulas that focus on hydration, barrier support, soothing ingredients, and gentle structure. That is why we build around ingredients like aloe vera, colloidal oatmeal, glycerin, panthenol, allantoin, rich plant lipids, and olive-derived emulsifiers—with supportive ingredients that help the formula stay stable, fresh, and skin-friendly.[1,3,6,7]
